What is the carrying technique for twins?
The safest technique is to carry one twin at a time, ideally on your back in a wrap to free your arms and field of vision. For static skin-to-skin contact (without moving), a sling also allows you to carry one baby while you take care of the other. If there are two carriers, each can carry one baby independently.
How can I carry two twins at the same time?
Carrying two babies at the same time is not recommended, as it does not allow all safety conditions to be guaranteed. The baby carried in front must have their face and airways clear and visible to the carrier throughout the entire carry.
The ideal remains having two carriers for two babies. Failing that, the wrap allows you to carry one of the twins while you take care of the second. Back carrying offers you greater availability and mobility to combine cuddles for one and care for the other.
We can offer you this technique in a sling, but we recommend it for static carrying, for skin-to-skin contact :)
