The main difference is that the fabric of the NKLW is knitted and stretchy, whereas that of the NKWW is woven and less stretchy. In practical terms, this gives a different carrying sensation:

Yes, they are both ring slings. For the NKWW, you'll just need to give a bit more slack for baby as the fabric is less flexible than the NKBS.
Both are perfectly capable of carrying your premature baby. However, the No Knot Little Wrap has been developed to meet the need for skin-to-skin in neonatal wards with premature babies.
