This is the 2 Bike 3!
Carrying, wrapping baby everywhere and in all circumstances, that's what we know. Carrying has become a second skin, which has gradually grown over the 1070 km of hiking in the Pyrenees this summer before baby's first year.
After 78 days of walking, 60km of D+ and a nice record of summits, breastfeeding, restless nights in bivouac, and washing our nappies, we got our bikes and baby's blue cart back, heading for Sardinia, Sicily, Greece, Turkey and Iran... and who knows one day the Himalayas!
This travel project is gradually becoming the most beautiful achievement of our lives...
By bike, on foot, while shopping, in bivouac, skin-to-skin... in the rain, when it's cold, when it's sunny.
Adjusting, adapting, tinkering, sorting out physio, not physio...
Carrying baby on a trip or in everyday life is choosing adventure!
And what an adventure it is when you get tangled up in the 5m Love Radius wrap before leaving the maternity ward while the other babies go out in pushchairs. #lleretourdelamomie
You tell yourself you're not the most efficient parent, but you're the kind of parent who experiments, tries, tries again, one baby's foot on one side, the other up there, all the way up there!
But finally, succeeding, feeling his little feet push against your back, his little warm breath in your neck, baby snuggling, curling up and falling asleep. #weloveloveradius
Then, to put our jobs on hold for 3 years, and to resume our daily life with baby within kissing distance, invisible to the rest of the world. "No, but it's not possible, there's a baby here! "/ wide eyes / eyebrows in the sky.
Prepare our trip, see the pandemic coming, wait, change our baby's shoulder, and leave more motivated than ever!
Don't worry baby Ariane, we'll cross the borders that men have set up, we'll fill in the forms, we'll spit on all the tests we'll be given, you can unwind your thread, you'll discover the beauties of the Earth, at the same time as the secrets of the stars and the Moon :)
