I started learning about babywearing during my pregnancy. In particular, I had read the book "Porter bébé" by Claude-Suzanne Didierjean-Jouveau which is really great! The Doctor explains the great need for physical contact that babies have and how babywearing can reassure and help them find themselves on familiar ground against their parents. I was already convinced before giving birth!
After the birth, my husband and I quickly carried our son with different baby carriers and slings. We found it very practical for walking around the neighborhood or going shopping.
For some time now I've been using the HoodieCarrier, which I really liked at first because of its design (which looks like a grey hoodie sweatshirt: my everyday outfit!) It's super comfortable, easy to adjust and my son is both well supported and comfortable at the same time. A compromise that I find ideal between the wrap and the baby carrier.
Every day in the middle of the morning I take it in the HoodieCarrier and it accompanies me in all my movements in the apartment. I love this connection, feeling my baby against me, that he can look at the world from our height and that he participates in my activities in his way. This is our moment together and not a day goes by without us wearing him at least once.
Every time Corto sees us putting the baby carrier on, he laughs, raises his arms and shows his joy. We know that he is waiting for this moment and appreciates it as much as we do!
