Baby has just been born and you have made the wonderful choice to carry your child in a baby carrier wrap or in a physiological baby carrier. Freedom of movement for you, comfort and motor, cognitive and social development for them. Physiological babywearing has many benefits.
The important thing is to respect baby's physiology using physiological positions (curved spine, baby's legs raised with knees higher than the bottom and spread to hip width…). We know that the first weeks are bewildering and that you are afraid of doing it wrong. Carrying a newborn can be stressful. Don't worry, everything can be learned — above all, trust yourself.
Baby is here! How to carry your newborn
Our wraps are stretch wraps, unlike woven wraps, they allow you to tie the knot in advance, even before placing baby in: practical and reassuring!
So, first of all:
Pre-tied knot: Basic knot
As we mentioned above, everything will start with the Basic Knot, a knot that you tie in advance before placing Baby in it. You can keep the knot on you and put Baby in and take Baby out without undoing the knot, in various positions that we will look at below.
(It's a baby carrier wrap knot at the front, side or back!)
