Your baby has just been born and you have made the wonderful choice of babywearing your child in a baby wrap or ergonomic baby carrier. Freedom of movement for you, comfort and motor, cognitive and social development for your child. Physiological babywearing has many benefits.
The important thing is to respect baby's physiology by using physiological positions (spine rolled up, baby's legs raised with the knees higher than the buttocks and the width of the pelvis apart...). We know that the first few weeks are confusing and that you are afraid of doing it wrong. Carrying a newborn can be stressful. Don't worry, everything can be learned and you have to trust yourself.
BABY IS HERE! HOW TO BABYWEAR HIM DURING THE FIRST WEEKS
Here we are going to help you with the baby wraps that are the most adapted to carry a newborn baby. Our wraps are called stretch wraps, unlike woven wraps, they allow you to make the knot beforehand, even before putting baby in: practical and reassuring!
So, first of all :
Pre Tied knot: Main Knot (advanced PWCC)
As mentioned above, it all starts with the Main Knot, a knot that you tie before you put Baby in. You can keep the knot on you and put your Baby in and out without untying the knot, and this in different positions that we will see below.
(This is a front, side or back wrap knot!)
Carrying positions for the newborn
After having made the main knot, here are various baby wrap tutorials for the newborn.
