In life
Paris, 2 childrenGaëlle,
I have been a health journalist for a dozen years in the Paris region. I have had my first child in 2016 and I received a physiological babysling as a birth gift by my sister-in-law, without knowing anything about it. I didn't know yet that it would become my accessory favourite fashion for months.
For the first 3 months my baby was crying because of the colic and the only thing that calmed him down was being against me. I walked for miles (in inside and outside) with my babysling so that he finally sleeps... It clearly has me saved from postpartum depression. Then, even though my son was walking at 12 months old, I refused the pushchair and continued to wear it for daily journeys (by trading the PhysioCarrier against the HoodieCarrier out in the meantime).
Wearing represents for me the freedom: to be never hindered by stairs or public transport, no congestion on the pavements or in shops, a head always within reach of kisses and far from strangers always too curious with the babies, the assurance that he is warm, hands free for me, etc.
For my second, no doubt, I had to test the Little Wrap Without a Knot. And once again I was conquered. Now that he's 1 year old, I've switched back to the babycarrier but with just as much pleasure and I hope for many more months. I know that in a few years I will miss it.And for all my girlfriends-to-be, they know in advance what a gift of birth they are going to have so they often give me their favourite colour to help me to choose...
