Baby wraps
For the first months, nothing will ever equal the baby wrap and the skin to skin it allows. This promotes heat regulation, lactation, oxytocin ... You will have your hands free! For babies, the wrap allows you to make a transition with the mother's womb by prolonging the feeling of security. The physiological position leads to better digestion and therefore less reflux, colic.

Those darn teething troubles

When you become a parent, among the myriad of remarks and advice you receive - often unsolicited - from those who already have children, there's a phrase particularly filled with compassion, (sadistic) amusement, and horror, sometimes even accompanied by a hand on the shoulder, as if to say "come on, be brave, everyone goes through this...":nn "Oh, you'll see when he/she starts teething!"nnAs with many things, there are as many ways to experience (or endure) teething as there are babies. There are also numerous ways to (try to) relieve it. Whether you lean towards natural methods, such as Roman chamomile hydrosol, homeopathy, amber necklaces, or prefer to turn to specific gels and medications for this life stage, there's something for all "tastes".nnnnSome babies have fever for several days, with red cheeks and bottom, and suffer a lot, while others "simply" feel the need to chew on everything they find and drool quite a bit, without being much more bothered than that. No one can do anything about it, that's just how things are.nnIn short, when our son's first teeth came in (and I do mean "teeth", as they came in multiples), my partner and I only realized it because he was putting a lot of things in his mouth (but, you might say, at almost six months, a baby already often puts everything in their mouth), he was drooling quite a bit and tended to have slightly red cheeks. Since he wasn't crying or having a fever, it was when my partner put the tip of his little finger in our little boy's mouth one evening that he realized his lower gum was a bit "prickly" in the middle... The next day, his two lower central incisors appeared at the same time.nnShortly after, his upper central incisors started to come in, one after the other this time, making their way a bit more painfully than their lower friends. A little hydrosol in the mouth and massaged on the cheeks helped our son a lot, but we could feel he was still uncomfortable. In these cases, and as often, the only things that could help him were giving him kisses, cuddles (that's become my favorite activity since his birth) and distracting him as much as possible, while leaving one or two big, cold teething rings and a famous rubber giraffe at his disposal.nnTo do this, in addition to playing, listening to music, reading stories, and maybe even trying sign language, every day I would put on (as I was at home with him) our baby wrap, comfortably settle my little boy in it, and dance. This had (and still has) the effect of making him laugh and presenting the house from a different angle, while contributing to his "rhythmic awakening".nnObviously, we don't only do these things when he's bothered by his teeth, and we do many other activities, but whatever the situation, babywearing (whether in a wrap, sling, carrier or simply "in arms") is always a sure value, as it allows the child to feel soothed, reassured, and comforted.

To support these sometimes intense moments, we recently discovered the Löwenkind Baby Teeth pads: a small natural remedy to slip into a scarf. Made of hay flowers and Swiss stone pine flakes, they diffuse a gentle fragrance that soothes and helps restore calm and serenity, especially during teething. From birth (except for premature babies), they are a great option for cranky or agitated children. A real boost to get through this stage with more gentleness.
